Emotional Freedom Techniques ( EFT - Tapping)

What is EFT (Tapping) and How Can It Help Children?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often referred to as “tapping,” are gentle and effective tools that combine elements of traditional psychology and acupressure to support emotional wellbeing. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body while acknowledging emotions, EFT helps release stress, reduce anxiety, and process difficult feelings.

For children, this technique offers a playful, accessible way to navigate the challenges of their emotional landscape, build resilience, and restore a sense of peace. It empowers them with a practical self-regulation tool they can use in moments of overwhelm, enhancing their self-awareness and fostering confidence in managing life’s ebbs and flows.

Maranda has trained in Advanced EFT as well as EFT for Trauma through EBEFT Australia.

HeartMath

What is HeartMath and How Can It Help Children?

HeartMath is a science-based system that teaches children how to connect with the natural intelligence of their hearts to regulate their emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience. Through simple techniques and tools, such as focused breathing and heart-focused attention, HeartMath helps children create coherence between their heart and brain. This state of coherence enhances emotional balance, focus, and self-awareness. For children, HeartMath is a powerful way to develop skills for navigating challenges, improving concentration, and fostering a sense of inner calm, empowering them to approach life with greater confidence and ease. This approach supports children to cultivate and tune into the sensations of joy, love and gratitude which has been shown to upregulate feel-good hormones and downregulate stress hormones.

Maranda is a Certified HeartMath Practitioner and has recently completed further training in "The Resilient Heart", Trauma-sensitive HeartMath course.

Children's Yoga Therapy

What is Children’s Yoga Therapy and How Can It Help Children?

Meridian-based Children’s Yoga Therapy is a traditional therapeutic system that works to bring the body back into balance through targeted movements (yoga correctives) and focused breathing techniques. Unlike general yoga practices, this approach uses highly specific and intentional exercises designed to address particular areas of the body and energy flow. This unique therapy developed by Loraine Rushton, combines corrective movements, postures, breathwork, and relaxation to strengthen, restore and rejuvenate the body and its systems.

For children, meridian-based yoga therapy is a powerful tool for supporting overall wellbeing. It can address a wide range of issues, from common colds to more complex imbalances in energy flow, organ function, or body structure. By restoring harmony in the body, this therapy helps children improve their physical health, enhance their energy, and develop greater resilience and balance, empowering them to feel their best both physically and emotionally.

Maranda has also trained in Flow Child Children's Yoga as well as

Pure Wonder - Movement - Mindfulness and Meditation. She is currently deepening her awareness with education in Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga.
